The Man Behind the Mission

Marquis Martin
Didn't Stumble Into This Work.

He was called to it — by experience, by family, by a mentor who pulled back the curtain, and by a conviction that the communities who need mental health care the most deserve so much more than they've been given.

Core Beliefs

Access is everything. Quality mental health care should reach every community — not just those with resources.

Experience builds credibility. Real-world knowledge — the hard kind — is what makes consulting actually useful.

Execution is the difference. Ideas are easy. Building something real, sustainable, and compliant is the work.

A Story Forged in Real Life

Marquis Martin knows what it means to start from a hard place and build something real from it.

He grew up watching his mother hold things together — strong, determined, doing what mothers do when the world doesn't make it easy. His father was present and supportive in the ways that mattered, even when circumstances made the road uneven. Between those two forces, Marquis learned early what resilience actually looks like — not the polished version you see on social media, but the quiet, stubborn kind that keeps you moving when moving feels impossible.

He's made mistakes. He'll be the first to tell you. Life has taken him from his lowest points to places he once couldn't have imagined — and every one of those experiences deepened his understanding of people, of systems, and of what it actually takes to build something that works. He's worked across different arenas of business — not as a spectator, but as someone in the room, in the weeds, figuring it out. That kind of education doesn't come from a textbook.

"He kept moving. Not because it was easy — but because stopping was never an option."

His connection to mental health didn't come from a policy paper. It came from his family. From watching people he loved struggle — watching a system that was supposed to help them fall short, be inaccessible, or simply not show up. He wanted to understand why. He started asking questions — about policy, about funding, about who gets to be in the room when decisions are made about the communities that need care the most.

Then he met a mentor who changed everything.

That mentor pulled back the curtain. Taught him how Community Mental Health Centers are built — how they're funded, how they're licensed, how they're run, and most importantly, how to make sure the services they provide actually reach the people who need them most. What started as curiosity became conviction. What became conviction became a plan. And what became a plan became New Age Consulting Group, LLC.

Today, Marquis brings that full journey — the struggle, the lessons, the mentorship, the fire — into every client relationship. He's not just a consultant. He's someone who understands what's at stake, because he has lived on both sides of the story. He has watched the system fail people he loves. And he has learned, with precision and purpose, exactly how to build the organizations that fix it.

His mission is simple: expand access. Build capacity. Change the landscape of mental health in communities that have been overlooked for far too long.

Our Philosophy

The values Marquis built into his own life are the values built into every engagement we take on.

01

Purpose Before Profit

We are driven by the impact our clients make in their communities. Financial sustainability matters, but mission is always the center of gravity.

02

Radical Honesty

We tell clients what they need to hear — not just what they want to hear. That honesty is what protects their investment and their license.

03

Execution Over Theory

Our value is in what gets built, filed, approved, and sustained — not in frameworks that look good on paper but don't hold up in a survey.

04

Access for All

Every CMHC we help build is another door opened for someone who might otherwise have nowhere to turn. That's not just a mission statement. That's our reason.
